Closure in response to COVID-19 extended to March 4
The following is a message on behalf of Port Moody Branch 119’s Management Committee President Brenda Millar, and Trustees David Fletcher and Peter Salmon.
I know you are anxious to know how Club 119 at the Legion plans to move forward after Dr. Bonnie Henry’s recent announcement. As many of you are aware the restrictions on public gatherings has been extended until February 5, 2021. The current direction the Pandemic has taken in British Columbia, Canada and world is still quite grim. Although vaccinations have become available for some, there is still a lot of progress to be made. As a result, the difficult decision was made to continue the suspension of the bar and kitchen operations until at least March 4th, 2021.
We are hopeful that by then the situation will be more favourable, active cases significantly lower, public health restrictions lifted or relaxed and with better weather people will be more comfortable interacting. We look forward to the re-opening and seeing you all. During this closing period we have been working hard to complete renovations to allow for a smother operation overall.
The Legion portion of the business is still available to support Veterans and their families. If you or your family requires assistance please contact Brenda Millar at 604-931-5193.
We appreciate your patience and support. Take care and be safe.
President Port Moody Legion #119
