Members of the Port Moody Legion Branch 119 are advised that June’s General Meeting open to all Members will be held on Tuesday, June 28 at 7:00 pm.

Election to be held at the next General Meeting
With the recent vacancy of Michelle Caskie as the 1st Vice President (after her moving to the role of General Manager of the Branch restaurant), and after Shawn McLaughlin moved to the position of 1st Vice President to fill Michelle’s vacancy as mandated by our Branch bylaws), an election will be held to fill the vacated position of 2nd Vice President previously held by Shawn.
At Tuesday, June 28’s General Meeting, nominations for the role of 2nd Vice President will be taken from the floor (Members must be in good standing to be nominated), after which an election will be held by those in attendance.
Additionally, if a member of the current Executive is nominated for the role of 2nd Vice President and is successfully voted in, a second round of nominations and elections will need to be held to fill that possible vacancy.
Members are not only encouraged to attend the upcoming General Meeting to have their voice heard by way of voting for their new Executive Member, but are also asked to consider nominating a Member who may best be able to assist the Branch achieve the end of its Trusteeship. Members with business management, accounting or book keeping, finance, marketing or communications, or restaurant/hospitality management will be of particular value in joining the Branch’s Executive. If you or a Member you know has those skills, we wholly encourage you to nominate them on Tuesday. (And of course, all Members are equally invited and entitled to be nominated, regardless of their skills or backgrounds.)
