Port Moody Branch #119

Remembrance Day 2014

May I, at this time, take this opportunity to thank all who attended our Nov 11th Service and Ceremony of Remembrance
at the Port Moody Legion. Record crowd in attendance to pay their respects to our Veterans – past and present.

The sun was shining and there was a nip in the air. The streets were lined with young and old – standing in silence for those who have given their lives and continue to fight for our freedom. The 21-cannon salute by the Seymour Artillery, the wonderful sounds of the SFU Pipe and Drum Band, O’Canada performed by the RCSCC GRILSE Sea Cadets Band & the Port Moody Senior Secondary Choir and the amazing and timely Swiftbird Ex-RAF Squadron Cenotaph flyover made for a lasting day of Remembrance.

We extend our sincere gratitude to all who made this event possible from our Veterans, Colour Party, Cadets, our 1st Responders and the youth of our community on parade to our many volunteers who made us proud to represent the Port Moody Legion #119

Lest we forget….

Yours in Comradeship,

Faye Johnson
