Port Moody Branch 119 Reopens.

Monday April 29th 2019 The Port Moody Legion Branch 119 reopened after a long reconstruction. The hard work of our Executive and Volunteers has gotten us a wonderful new lounge with 2 new 5 x 10 pool tables, 4 new dart boards, comfortable furnishings, and a fantastic new finish on our old 33′ shuffle board. The new lounge is a great destination for some of Port Moody’s brews or a tasty meal from our state of the art kitchen. Of course good times like Meat Draw, Live Music, and Dancing are still with us every Friday, and Saturday.

The entrance is through the breezeway from Clark Street or enter next to our patio off Spring Street.

Check back for updates as we are just getting started.

Port Moody Legion 119 to be rebuilt from the ground up. Fall 2015.

Branch 119 of the Royal Canadian Legion has operated in Port Moody since 1935 and has been in it’s present premises on Clarke Street in the old city center area since opening on New Years Eve 1955. When 119 opened for that New Years party it did so without a floor.

60 years later after another amazing New Years Eve Party to bring in 2015 our doors closed for business as we prepared for redevelopment of our land.

Both new years parties were a huge success with many bright and optimistic hopes for the future of the branch along with many cheers to our days past.

Our site and Port Moody quickly started it’s transformation in the fall of 2015. The big hole at the corner of Kyle and Clarke Streets has Grown into a wonderful apartment building, retail space, and our new Club 119.

We appreciate your continued support during this time of growth for Club 119. Our branch actually leeds the region with membership retention while we had no building to hang our sign on.

Many heartfelt thanks to all that helped along the way to our new Club 119.
